The American Staunton Ebonised chess piece set is inspired by Howard Staunton, who introduced and promoted the standardised Staunton design at the 1851 London International Chess Tournament.
Crafted from Boxwood, the pieces are hand-carved in India and fitted with green felt bases to protect the board and ensure smooth movement.
Half of the set is ebonised to create a striking contrast between deep black and natural light wood.
