The American Staunton broadbase chess pieces set is inspired by Howard Staunton, who introduced and promoted the standardised Staunton design at the 1851 London International Chess Tournament.

Crafted from Acacia and Boxwood, the pieces are hand-carved in India and fitted with green felt bases to protect the board and ensure smooth movement.
